From “Africa” With Roots

I lived in South Africa from 2009 to 2013 where I was surprised to note that my South African colleagues had never heard about, let alone tasted, Cassava (M’bedu). With all the trekking that people have done to South Africa (SA), one would think that by now Cassava would have been widely introduced in SA.

Some small-scale vendors import fresh Cassava by bus to Johannesburg and set up shop on the roadside outside Parkstation and other spots within Jo’burg. I used to buy from these vendors and I once gave some of my SA colleagues a taste of it. They loved it. They didn’t know what they were missing.

My friends in SA, we can organize and revolutionize the starch servings in SA on a larger scale.

We have a market folks.
